Tony joined The SEC Network when it launched on Aug. 14, 2014. For the past three seasons he has served as a studio analyst and a reporter on various shows throughout the network.Tony is a regular guest on the Paul Finebaum Show and several times a year is a substitute host for Paul when he is on assignment.

For four seasons Tony hosted his own television show on The CBS Sports Network.”The Tony Barnhart Show” was taped weekly in New York City and was a hard-hitting issues-oriented college football show. Guests came from the worlds of sports, politics, entertainment, and business but all had one thing in common: They loved college football. On the Tony Barnhart Show college football szx not a just game. It was a way of life. Here is the introduction to the show that we shot in NYC in 2010.


Tony began his television career in 1994 as a reporter for ESPN. He was a reporter with ESPN’s “College Game Day” from 1997-2003 and then went to CBS. Here is a summary of his television work.

College Football Today, CBS

From 2004 to 2013 Tony would travel to New York several times each season to appear on “College Football Today,” on CBS with Tim Brando and Spencer Tillman.

Talkin’ Football, CSS

For eight seasons Tony was part of “Talkin’ Football” one of the most popular college football television shows in the South. Below is a photo of the gang (L to R): Mark Schlabach, Brady Ackerman, Tony Barnhart, and Bob Neal. The show ended after the 2013 season.
